In 2021 Sarasota is the number voted best place to retire is Sarasota. Next in order is Fort Myers, Naples, Ocala, Miami, Melbourne, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa, Pensacola. Believe it or not North Florida you need a fireplace and you pretty much have four seasons there from Ocala to the western part of the panhandle.

Because in Florida there is no State tax and from Central Florida on further south, weather is nearly summer year round. There are many amusement parks from pastures of riding horses with acreage with equestrian centers and to grow farms, palm trees and fruit trees with this exceptional year round weather. No more shoveling snow and more time to enjoy nature and what the outdoor's has to offer. Many families love acreage for privacy and peace of mind with no homeowners association.

Even more, quality of life housing prices and taxes are much lower in rural areas and monthly payments are even more affordable for retirees. Many other locations in general, expect to take a cost of living employment slight decrease because there it is less inexpensive and better quality of life to live in other areas throughout the State. There are some families that love the beach, boating and deep sea fishing.

Golf courses are abundant throughout the State and nearly year round in most parts of the State. Theme parks in Central Florida are always attractive for many families all over the world for vacationing. The average home has an enclosed pool and many have a fabulous water view and lakefront which can always be breath taking. So when it comes to retirement I choose hands down Florida.
