VETERANS DAY IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

Veteran Day in Central Florida is always about honoring all of our veterans that has sacrificed their lives for our country. There is an estimated eighteen million veterans living in the United States. I, myself served 30 years in the United States Air Force. Downtown Orlando, Fl our parades has numerous floats from many businesses along with world ward II veterans. Man locations each year throughout Central Florida supports this national day at Winter Park Community Centar, Fort Mellon Park in Sanford that has a replica of the Vietnam memorial wall, veterans and civilians walk around Lake Eola with sixty pounds of sandbags in rucksacks for those who never returned from war. Downtown Kissimmee offers various floats.

VOLUSIA COUNTY

A street party with live music in Titusville each year with a phenomenal car show, Volusia County with various floats downtown in Deland. Fern Park has a flag retirement ceremony for all old flags that are severely worn. East Seminole County VFW Post 10139 celebrate food and drinks with a fireworks display. Melbourne has a veterans day run in which, that all funds raised, all proceeds will assist all homeless veterans in Central Florida. Cape Canaveral host a half marathon walk or run. Eatonville honors veterans by placing new flags on graves in Maitland. 

Orange County

A veterans day festival held in Apopka each year in various veteran owned businesses serving food and drinks. Central Florida hosts many locations honoring veterans, along with special discounts in many national food businesses to include a free meal providing you show your valid identification card. This is just one major benefit of serving the armed forces. Serving our country and laying down your lives goes a long way and much appreciated on this day to all active duty and retired soldiers. There is no better way to give back to those who have dedicated themselves selfishness for our freedom. The city of Orlando will host it's 22nd annual parade in 2021 their annual downtown parade November 11th 8am-1pm. With dignity, pride and respect I have served a total of 39 years in the Air Force and do not regret one bit. I truly miss the fellowship with my fellow soldiers.
