MORTGAGE FREE HOME Awarded TO MARINE VETERAN
I had the opportunity to experience and play a vital role with a disabled veteran and assisting with a mortgage free home. Bernie lived in Orlando and was seeking to buy a new home in July, however lender stated he had to clear a few things up and will be ready Aug 9th 2018. I am a member of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals AKA (VAREP) since last year. A national conference was held in Washington D.C. June 3-5. There I learned and polished up how to better serve the veterans. Heavy hitters from congress attended and listened to our questions as we lobbied proposed policy changes. In the mist was the SVP of BOA that dedicated up to 2000 homes to VAREP nationwide to disabled veterans.
A DREAM COME TRUE
I learned the process and returned home knowing Bernie fit the qualification's. We graciously filled out the application at the end of month and six days later he was approved after corporate office went through the "vetting" process with him for a home in Raleigh North Carolina to move in on August 9th! What a story! This was a dream come true and he was in shock and could not believe it! He told me he still did not believe it until he picks me up at the airport! Through the whole process of the media and local citizen's showing up for the ceremony his family arrived after many motorcycles arrived and escorted him and family to home. He and many gave speeches and it touched my heart to give him a huge hug after getting out the car. However the punchline was he was eligible to apply for a loan to buy a home in Orlando, instead he was given keys to a mortgage free home on the day he was going to be thousands of dollars in debt.
